Nîmes, at 45 km from Lussan, Nimes was a roman colony founded by Augustus and was populated by
roman legionaries from Egypt, who came after the battle of Actium [31bc].

pont d'Arc Located at the gate of the Ardeche canyons dug in the limestone shelf.

The area is a refuge for protected species as the eagle Bonelli , the European beaver ,or l'Apron of the Rhone.

◊ Lussan (0,5km) This medieval village on
the top of the rock is a roman oppidium that became a fortified village overseeing the Garrigues.
The castle built in the 16th century has a 360 degrees view covering the Cevennes to the Mont Ventoux.
